The cones of is put in the streets to warn the drivers are orange, and at least in my city the town workers that are doing any kind of work in the road with cars use a suit orange because is a colour that at distance is very noticeable against the normal grey of the road, even a blind will see that have someone using an orange jumpsuit in the road fixing it, so in my city, the orange is common for call attention of the drivers, would disgraceful if they dress red to call more attention a driver could get mad and drive over him, isn't true, the man got mad, and see a red blur and thought was the demon, or we can use harmony with the grey of the road like a light purple, or a light grey.
