Percentage in the calculator

(1)To find the percent of a number

You want to know how much is 80% of 3000 (other way of write the value is 3000,00)

  You input in the calculator the value that you want to know the value of a percentage of it

  Type : 3000

  Multiplied for 80%

  Type the : × (the multiplication)

  Type the percentage that you want : 80

  Type the : %, and stop here you already had the result in percentage you don’t push the       button equation.

But you also could multiply for 0,8 is the same

(2)To find the result of the subtraction of a percentage of a number

You type the value that you want to know the discount, the number for example is 40000 discount 30%; one way - discount of 30% is the same that 100% - 30% = (100 – 30)% = 70%, that you could multiply for 70% like explained, or multiply for 0,7 that is the same that 70%

And using the calculator function is

Type the number that you want to know (the percentage subtraction you subtract a percent of the number and not the percent so you don’t subtract 70 but 0,7×40.000, so is 40.000 - 0,7×40.000)

So type the number: 40000

Type less:   -

Type the percent: 70%, stop here don’t push the button equation, when you push the (%) you had to stop after the (%) the result is instantaneous, if you push the (=) you gonna have a wrong result

(3) To find the result of a number plus a percent

You want to know how much is the result of a value plus 45%, so is 100% + 45%=(100+45)%=145%, if you want you could multiply for 1,45 that is the same that 145%

Using the function of the calculator is this finding increase of 45% for 12000

Type : 12000

Type: +

Type the percent that you want  increase : 45%, and stop after the % don’t push the button of the equation.
