I paint and also I am photographer, a hungry one but a photographer. So in photo we have t knew light but when we paint we have to understand or there is go down the pipes the realism, so in picture you study the light soft and the light hard, at school we learn the cinematic like light, if doesn't exits light would not exist cinema, lens light, shadow is somethign that appear is the phenomenum but occurs with it. So we ca study pictures, so the studio light imitates the daysun light the light came of many sides, and yuo have the effect of soft light, is like many spots of lights, you don't use a holofote because is a strong light and came of only one side, the holofote have light that are coming from a point and got to all the spaces like a triengle is a rays that came paralels between them, I already explain how to make a holofote from a strong lamp an tambo and a curve mirror. Something of studio light, was a photographre taking a photo of a woman dressing black with black background, to she doesn't got confused with the balck background he turn of a fog machine, because the light wasn't reflecting her body and in the digital picture she was mix with the background, so is good you see some pictures of good photographers and imagine how the light was represent in the picture, isn't so simple like rice and beans or you gonna see a picture of a mediocre. Have people that knew everything but the work is poor.
