The origin of the recipe?

 Have any person that thinks I know the origin of recipe that my mother learn before I born? In my family kids are cooking since the 6 years or even lower age. The most famous cake that my mother was a failure, she was 10 making the sand cake of her mother for the sister, she said that she thought if baking powder make a cake grow, imagine a lot ot baking powder, the cake came all out of the pan in the oven. Was for the christening of the nephew. My mother had thousands of bread cheese recipes, of blender with corn flour with baking powder. Have a recipe that came from Recife, had other that was from Minas Gerais.
